Made from cast iron, each piece is formed in two sand molds, which are used only once and then the sand is recycled. Once removed from the mold the piece is polished and finished by hand, and then enameled and fired twice. The exterior is a chip and crack resistant enamel in a soleil yellow color. The interior enamel of the braisier, french oven, and sauce pan is a durable sand-colored enamel. The grill pan features a ridged base that is designed to lock in moisture and drain excess fat from foods while cooking and is oven safe up to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. The Braisier, french oven and sauce pan come with a secure lid that locks in heat and moisture while cooking. This cookware set is designed for even hear distribution and superior heat retention and is backed by a manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty.
